My Favorite Drugstore Foundations

Hey lovelies... So as a 'drugstore special' i am going to be listing my favorite products in different categories, that are from the drugstore!

#1: Foundation

From Left to Right: RIMMEL stay matte, Almay clear complexion makeup, RIMMEL match perfection and Collection 2000 16 hour long wear.

SWATCHES: LEFT TO RIGHT: collection 2000, rimmel match perfection, ALMAY and rimmel stay matte.

Rimmel Stay Matte - £5.99... BUY HERE

Cannot quite comprehend how much i love this foundation. It does exactly what it says: Stays matte, which is a big thing for me considering other products that claim to be matte, are actually the most dewy products i have used. It offers full coverage and gives you a flawless face. The color match is pretty good. It does last quite a while, (longer if you use powder) however i wouldn't use a powder with this foundation as it could look too drying. It offers the right balance of moisture and coverage. It will cover pimples and spots in an instant. Would recommend this for all skin types.

ALMAY clear complexion makeup - Around £6.99... BUY HERE

This foundation could really give the highest end products a run for their money. I use this foundation for when im having a bad skin day i.e. spots, pimples etc. It covers flawlessly and one applied, looks like your skin. offers a medium to high coverage. It's originally used for acne treatment with 0.6% Salicylic acid. The only downfall to this foundation is the lack of colors available, however i have mine in shade 220 neutral and it matches perfect in summer!! (bit too dark for me in the winter) for reference i'm an NC20 in mac. Would recommend for all skin types, especially oily and acne/spot prone skin.

RIMMEL match perfection foundation -£6.99... BUY HERE

I strangely had a love hate relationship with this foundation when i first purchased it. HOWEVER, after months and months of use, i love this foundation. This is a trace-less coverage foundation that gives you a glowing dewy coverage. Powder can be used to achieve a matte look. Coverage is medium and build-able. There. There is a great variety of colors to choose from. It has a lovely pleasant, statement smell as rimmel always has. I personally like the smell however others may not. A primer may be needed. Would recommend for dry/normal skin, however with powder, may suit an oily complexion.

COLLECTION 2000 16 hour lasting perfection foundation - £5.99... BUY HERE

Likewise with the RIMMEL match perfection foundation, i was a little unsure about this foundation. It does give a lovely light to medium coverage but i wouldn't build the coverage up. It's slightly dewy but this gives your skin a very nice hydrated look. It has a pump which is always good! The downside would be that it doesn't offer many shades. I have the shade 2 IVORY and it has some slight pinky undertones to it. i would definitely recommend a primer to give the foundation a longer wear. It does not stay on for 16 hours however but overall i do like this foundation! But its a hit or miss foundation. I purchased mine for around £2.60 because of ex stock, however are £5.99 RRP. Would recommend for normal skin, dry with a primer and oily with powder.
