Hi everyone, so i was sent some goodies by a beautiful brand called Stvdio5. They are a UK based company, producing handmade, natural, cruelty free products. The product line ranges from bath bombs to fragrances. In total i received a face mask, moisturizer, 4 soaps, a bath bomb and a book mark.

Our natural face masks have magnificent absorbent power. This is due to kaolin, a white mineral clay often used in cosmetics to soften the skin. Zinc oxide, another excellent mineral, and Vitamin E are both crucial in the protection and revitalization of skin, essential in the repairing of damaged skin cells whilst simultaneously toning the complexion and tightening pores. Tea tree oil is a great natural antimicrobial and antiseptic agent, also proven to be effective in combatting against certain dermatological conditions including dandruff, acne and lice. Our formula is completely natural and fragrance free. No artificial colorants or scents have been added as often these non-natural substances can interfere with the natural therapeutic properties of the product.This jar contains all of the premium ingredients you find in our powder masks, along with an added extra: charcoal powder, a widely mineral used to soothe irritated and itchy skin.

I have used the face mask twice this week, although only once a week is needed, and my face felt incredibly smooth, soft and my pores even looked smaller! The formula is light and applies like a dream. Instantly, i noticed the tea tree scent to the mask. This in itself is delightful and made me feel clean and fresh. This specific ingredient is also really good for skin well being. 

Straight afterwards i used the face moisturizer. The consistency is again light and less thick than my other moisturizers making it the perfect summer must have. Of course it did moisturize my skin, and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin because it has all natural ingredients and no fragrance, which can dry your skin out.

We have enriched our formula by adding kaolin, a white clay which helps to cleanse your skin. Also we added tea tree oil, which is a great antimicrobial and antiseptic agent, also effective in combatting other dermatologic conditions including dandruff, acne, lice, herpes, and a variety of skin infections. Our soaps contain Aloe vera extract, a powerful source of Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and B12, Vitamin C and E, folic acid and niacin. Aloe Vera helps to provide oxygen to the skin which further strengthens its tissue. A rich blend of healthy and natural ingredients you rarely find elsewhere!

I usually opt for more sweet and fruity smelling soaps, however whilst these soaps smell similar to lavender, they are super calming. I absolutely love the appearance of these soaps they make the perfect gift. They are wrapped in a colorful paper bag with the branded tag, which looks so effective. Even holding the soaps, you can tell they are rich and creamy. They almost remind me of the body melts from lush cosmetics as they are so moisturising. I love how each individual soap has a beautiful feature to it, i.e. a cut of fruit, glitter etc.

Another one of our favorite products!. Our bath truffles are 100% SLS free, containing only natural and premium ingredients to help your mind and body relax and unwind. They fizz around the bathtub, melting completely on contact with water. Kaolin will gently exfoliate and deep clean your skin, whilst a combination of olive oil and cocoa butter leave your skin supple and radiant. A very SPA treatment for your skin.

I have to break it to you guys, sadly i only have a shower not a bath, so i am not able to fully use bath bombs. However, i took a bath at my boyfriends and wow didnt this little beauty blow my mind. The calming lavender scent de-stressed me. Little sparkles were swirling round the bath and it was like magic. When i stepped out of the tub, my skin felt so soft and soothed.

Hey everyone, so i'm sure you have already been there done that and dyed your hair blue, or at least been tempted to buy blue hair dye. More recently Kylie Jenner has sported a light blue hair colour at a bellami launch party. It made me think back to when she had the electric blue hair, around the time of kim's wedding, and the media went crazy. After doing a spot of shopping, i came across this fudge urban hair art colour pictured right, in the shade of turquoise noise.  It was a very close shade to the one that kylie used to have and i thought why not give this a go and have a play around. 

I got home, sprayed my hair and thought... Im going to do a kylie jenner inspired makeup and hair look. I uploaded the video and my subsribers really enjoyed it. So in this blogpost today i want to share with you how to get kylies look for less. I will also post the link below to my youtube video. I also use Drugstore makeup to create her makeup look.

Its safe to say i am obsessed with this hair style and shade. Obviously it will work perfect if you have light hair. My hair is ombre with alot of blonde, so the colour will be super saturated for me. If you have darker hair, im sure it will work but wont be intense. With the spray being under £5, its worth a shot. Cleansing milk and Daily moisturiser

Product

 

Cleansing milk - I am a huge fan of cleansers, and I am always on the look out for a cleanser that's non greasy, fresh, clean and smells good! And SAFA's cleansing milk is certainly fit for purpose. The product has a really rich and velvety consistency with a little going a long way. This is fantastic as you really get your moneys worth from the product. It enables you to remove all of your makeup within a few swipes. I find it works best with cotton pads to remove face makeup, and is safe to use with small cotton wool balls for the delicate areas around your face. The cleanser feels like it doesn't strip any good oils from your face, due to having no alcohol based ingredient. In fact, it almost feels like it keeps  your skin hydrated.

 

Daily moisturiser - I am very picky when it comes to moisturisers. They have to almost meet a criteria for me ,as my skin is sensitive and can differ throughout seasons. I have been using this moisturiser for about a week before I apply my makeup and it offers a beautiful, sheer yet hydrating layer of moisture. It's the perfect skincare essential for summer as it doesn't coat your skin with heavy moisture. At first, I applied way too much and it made my skin feel almost 'cakey'. However, this was a fault of my own. It just proves that you only need a tiny amount to keep your skin hydrated.

 

Over the course of a week, using these products twice everyday, I would say that my skin has not felt dehydrated. It hasn't alerted any spots to flare up on my face, and my skin certainly doesn't feel tight.

I think the prices for each product are very reasonable. I pay roughly around the same for products such as L'Oreal, simple and Olay.

 

Packaging

 

One thing I love about the packaging is that it is recyclable. It is not in any fancy packaging that tends to go to waste when you throw it out. The bottles are plastic, sleek and travel friendly as the bottles are petit. I also really enjoy the packaging of the boxes as they really exert a natural, simple yet effective look to the SAFA brand.

Overall thoughts

 

Safa skincare has ticked all the boxes for me. The lightweight yet hydrating formulas have enabled these two products to be everyone and anyone's summer essentials. What I love most about the unique and friendly brand, is that the product works and has no need to be tested on animals. It's suitable for vegans and contains organic ingredients. It really made me think - what am I putting on my skin when it comes to other products? These natural and organic skincare products will forever be in my skincare drawer. They are light enough and contain no alcohol for my sensitive skin, and the beautiful thought of organic ingredients hydrating the skin is wonderful - Job very well done safa.

Hey loves. I've recently been purchasing a lot of summer clothing, and with summer clothing... comes sales! So I picked up these two pieces in the NEW LOOK sale and I love them. I didn't plan on buying the top as I only picked it up to try with the skirt and I ended up loving it!

 

I really like the 60's vibe from the skirt, whilst the cross crop top keeps it effortlessly modern with a beautiful delicate floral print. The skirt is almost waffle textured and feels really soft. It's hard to pull of a midi skirt like this, and im not sure whether I do or not. Im 5ft6" and sometimes these types of skirts can make you look short and dumpy... big NO NO! But I adore these! They were in the sale, but I will link some similar below. The top was £7.00, heels were £12 and the skirt was £10! Bargain!

Hey babes! I was a bit hesitant to put this video up because i feel like i haven't been putting my 100% into them lately. a lot of things playing on my mind along with the stress of university and work. boy o boy I sound like a broken record. But anyway, I get asked a lot about my hair. This surprises me ALOT because I rarely do anything with my hair and i love my hair to look messy, which is something that may not appeal to other people.

 

These curls are something I opt for on a daily basis. I cannot wash my hair everyday because it ruins my hair!!! I literally look like a grease ball... so instead i have to wash it every 3 days or so, but until then I usually dry shampoo it. So after about 3 days, my hair is very voluminous, still curly and messy! ( i know you girls do It so don't go ewwww ;) )

 

The best way to achieve LONG LASTING curls is to pin them once you have curled them. This allows them to set and cool. If you don't pin them whilst they are still hot, they are more prone to drop out as the hair is still effectively moulding itself to the barrel shape. By pinning them in their natural curl, it will hold the look! (im not the best at explaining things haha! )
