Juxt

Juxt

Hello lovelies, I wanted to create another spring look.
I have previously purchased 'juxt' from mac. It's a beautiful satin eye shadow. I wanted to incorporate this into a fresh eye look, so here goes:

Products used:
MAC EYESHADOW - JUXT
MAC EYESHADOW - BLUE CANDY
REVLON LINK EYESHADOW - SEAFOAM

HOW I CREATED THE LOOK

1) using Revlon's link eyeshadow in seafoam, cover the whole base of your eye in this colour. Try to stay inside the crease. Then apply this colour in the middle of your lower lash.
2) Using MAC's eyeshadow in JUXT, place this on the 1/3 inside of your eye and then softly blend into the blue. Apply this green colour on the outer and inner parts of your lower lash line.
3) Using MAC's eye shadow in BLUE CANDY, place this on the outer V of your eye to darken it, however do not darken it too much.
4) Using a blending brush, (my favourite is from BLOOM cosmetics), apply your transition colour. I use a warm tone light brown and in wind screen wiper motions, blend this colour above your crease line.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION LONDON REVIEW

MAKEUP REVOLUTION LONDON REVIEW
Wednesday, 16 April 2014
Read post
Makeup Revolution London is a new beauty brand on the market, and to cut to the chase... It's a competitor that all high-street and higher brands should be wary of! Find out my thoughts:

I was lucky enough to be sent 6 product from MRL, which include: A baked highlighter, baked bronzer, 2 pigments, 1 eyeshadow and a lipstick.

You can buy the products here: http://www.makeuprevolutionstore.com/

VIVID BAKED HIGHLIGHTER- SHADE: GOLDEN LIGHTS - BUY HERE
VIVID BAKED BRONZER- SHADE: GOLDEN DAYS - BUY HERE
£3.00 EACH

Firstly, the first thing I noticed with these products is their weight. They are relatively heavy compared to other bronzers and highlighters. I really like the packaging of these products, they look super sophisticated and sleek. The highlighter has 7.5g of product which is fantastic and will last you a long time. This highlighter replaces all of my existing highlighters in my makeup collection. It gives you the perfect shimmer, as well as remaining rather natural. This is possibly my favourite product and I will be purchasing the remaining 2 to complete the collection. It lasts such a long time and from the image above, you can see how pigmented it is. It reminds me of Mac's extra dimension highlighter and could easily give It a run for its money!

The bronzer has 13g of product which is a hell of a lot! I really like the fact the product Is compact/baked, as it has fragments of different colour to give you a slightly different shade of bronzer. It's a beautiful sunkissed colour with no orange tones! - exactly what  I look for in a bronzer.

PIGMENTS - £1.00 EACH

PURE PIGMENT- SHADE: LEVITY - BUY HERE
PURE PIGMENT- SHADE:  ETIQUETTE - BUY HERE

HOW gorgeous are these pigments??! They contain 1.5g of product, and they are superbly pigmented and really give your eyes that pop of shimmer! I love the shade Levity as it's perfect for spring and summer, whether its applied to the inside of the eye, or as a base all over the eye, it's a very statement girly colour. Etiquette is just as gorgeous. It's beautiful no matter what the season, and warmly smokes out the eye.
There are 25 shades available.

MONO EYESHADOW- SHADE: PURPLE HEAVEN - BUY HERE
£1.00 EACH

I want to purchase each and every one of these mono eyeshadows. The eyeshadows contain 3.3g of product, and i am so surprised at their quality for the price! The payoff is fantastic, you get a lot of product, they last a long time and they make your eyes look gorgeous. This shade would work perfectly with the previous pigment mentioned ' Levity '.

LIPSTICK- SHADE: NUDE- BUY HERE
£1.00

This specific lipstick is part of the matte collection that makeup revolution have to offer. The formula is rich, creamy and pigmented. It looks super gorgeous with a  nude gloss. It's the perfect colour combo with a dark smokey eye.

SWATCHES

Overall, I am going to be purchasing ALOT more items from makeup revolution. The products I have played around with, are such high quality and incredibly cheaply priced! Every girl can afford to look glamorous on a budget with makeup revolution. This brand is one to watch on the market. It's inevitably going to be a success with beauty consumers as their products can prove that sometimes budget makeup is BETTER!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION is available directly on their website and super drug. Their products will be in store soon! & I want to thank them for their generous gesture of giving me the pleasure of reviewing these products!

I will be doing a few makeup looks with these products, so keep your eyes peeled! - Have you tried and tested any of MAKEUP REVOlUTIONS products??

*these views are my own  - I was not paid
*the products were sent to me by makeup revolution.

My Favourite Lipsticks for April

My Favourite Lipsticks for April
Saturday, 12 April 2014
Read post
Hello lovelies. So far in April, I have a fascination with lipsticks. This can vary as one month I can be focused on foundation, another eye shadow and for April it seems to be  lipsticks.
Superdrug were having a Buy one get one half price promotion on some drugstore brands including L'Oreal, Maybelline and Rimmel - so I thought  why not try out some new lipsticks.

First and for most, I absolutely LOVE the packaging of all the lipsticks. They just scream colour sensation and brighten up your makeup bag. I find it's really easy to store the lipstick in a lipstick acrylic holder with the colour facing upwards so it's super easy to pick what colour you want for the day.

In terms of the product itself, they are super creamy, highly pigmented and last a very good amount of time. I chose these shades as every girl needs to have a nude and a pink in their makeup collection and I think these are more than satisfactory.

Shocking coral is a gorgeous coral colour with pink undertones to the lipstick. It will work well with all hair and eye colours and will really add that extra touch of girliness to any outfit. BUY HERE

In love with ginger is a colour everyone should have. Taking into account that orange is the bang on trend colour for 2014, swap the classic red for something with a bit of twist. In love with ginger is that twist. With the red and orange undertones, it's sure to fire up any look. BUY HERE

Sultry sand is part of the Maybelline nude range, and I picked this one up because I have a few nudes, but nothing with a slight pink undertone. This is the most gorgeous nude from the range, I personally think. Im going to be using it more when im more tanned in the summer as I am quite pale, but I am still so happy I picked this up! Very Blogger pack SS14: Dressing for your body shape

Very Blogger pack SS14: Dressing for your body shape
Friday, 11 April 2014
Read post
Hello all! so I have had the opportunity to use the blogger pack from VERY. I  gained this opportunity from the blogger programme. If you love blogging, beauty and fashion. This is the place for you!

So today, I chose to include 'dressing for your body shape' into my blog. I fee like a lot of girls are unaware of their body shape and therefore don't dress to fit their  body shape. Now, im not saying that if you are a certain shape  you should wear a certain type of clothing - Of course you can! This post is to try and help you bring out your body shape and as a result feel a bit more confident! Below is an image to try and figure out your body shape.

Hourglass
Celebrities with hourglass shapes include: Kelly brook, Nigella Lawson and Kim Kardashian. The hourglass figure is seen to be very feminine with a full bust and hips with a smaller waist.

What to wear: To really accentuate your beautiful curves, wear fitted clothing that pull you in at the waist to really give you a beautiful look. This may include figure hugging dresses, pencil skirts that tuck in at the waist, as well as tailored jackets if it's for an evening.

What to avoid: Try to avoid anything that is baggy and will therefore covering your gorgeous curves.  However, you don't feel up to wearing something tight and fitted. Try wearing a baggy jumper with a pair of jeans that show off the shape of your legs. Crazy patterns can also hide your curves with the illusion of the pattern. Statement bold pieces really work great.

Apple
Celebrities with apple shapes include: Jenifer Hudson, Drew Barrymore, and Catherine Zeta Jones. Ladies with an apple figure have broad shoulders, slender legs and a less defined waistline.

What to wear: Opt with a sleek line that skims your stomach, as well as tops with V lines to pull your shoulders back in proportion to your slim hips.

What to avoid: Try to avoid short jackets that will put emphasis on your top half and more so, your shoulders. highlight your gorgeous pins with a flattering dress or skirt.

Pear
Celebrities with Pear shapes include: Beyoncé, Rhianna, and Jenifer Lopez. Pear shapes are the most common body shape in Britain. Ladies with pear shaped bodies usually have narrow shoulders, a slimmer bust, and curvy hips and bums.

What to wear: Wearing bright colours can look statement as well as drawing attention to your gorgeous body shape. Statement jewellery on your top half will also complete the look. It may also be fun to experiment with party dresses that have sleeves and collars to again bring emphasis to your top half. As well as this, halter necks can balance out the wider bottom half. Layering garments on the top half can also maintain that balance.

What to avoid: Avoid flared jeans that will draw attention to your bottom half and therefore give the illusion that your body is out of balance.

Glamorous Floral Shift DressGlamorous Three-Quarter Sleeve Shirt Swing Dress

Athletic
Celebrities with athletic shapes include: Taylor swift, Miley Cyrus and Kiera Knightley. Athletic ladies have a slender frame from shoulder to hips.

What to wear: to create curves, wear A-line skirts that flow out from the waist, as well as peplum tops that broaden the hips. A narrow belt will also help to give shape to a simple shift dress.
What to avoid:  Avoid detail around the hips if you are wider.

Club L Flocked Skater Dress with Belt

 Strawberry
Celebrities with strawberry body shapes include Jessica Simpson, Dolly Parton and Renee Zellwegger. Strawberries are the opposite to pear shapes with a full bust and wide shoulders slimming down to a narrow waist and hips.

What to wear: Fully skirted dresses with colour on the bottom half. V necks also will bring out your top half.

What to avoid: Try to avoid anything with ruffles especially on the top half as this will draw attention to your top half. Minimise the use of accessories on top however, swap this for a pair of statement shoes.

Hello my lovelies... If you watch my YouTube channel, you may know I love a good haul. May I also take the opportunity to apologise for my absence on YT. My life is so hectic at the moment with work from university, and it's dark by the time I finish my work and im also rather tired. And I want to give you guys the best videos possible so in a few weeks i'll have my mojo back. It's easier for me to blog as late at night it's a chilled thing to do!

So I popped into superdrug and it went from there. Here's what I purchased:

My favourite product from my haul would be my lipstick from rimmel in the shade 'in love with ginger'. It's the perfect red with a tinge of orange!
